ASSISTANT MANAGER: FUNERAL BENEFITS

SALARY : R 252 144.00 per annum (Basic Salary)
CENTRE : PRETORIA

REQUIREMENTS : Recognized three-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification and five
years appropriate proven experience in the field of Retirement Funds or
Employee Benefits Administration with specific extensive experience in the
payment of pension benefits, or Matric/Grade 12 with eight years appropriate
proven experience in the field of Retirement Funds or Employee Benefits
Administration with specific extensive experience in the payment of pension
benefits which should include a minimum of three years proven
supervisory/management experience Computer literacy that includes a good
working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is a requirement Strong
leadership and managerial skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and
written High level people management skills Ethical business conduct Strong
production management skills Project management skills Deadline driven Ability
to prioritize urgent matters Self motivated Ability to work under pressure

DUTIES : The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Funeral
Benefits division at the EB business unit, which inter alia include but is not limited
to: Support the EB Operations Manager in achieving the strategic and business
goals of the business unit including the timeous and accurate processing of
funeral benefits Build and maintain effective Stakeholder relations to meet
internal and external client needs Management and development of a staff
component of 20 in a highly pressurized environment Develop and implement an
effective business plan and budget for the division to support the achievement of
the strategic and business objectives of the unit Manage Operational efficiency,
effectiveness and compliance to meet the challenges of this business unit
Regular reporting of divisional performance to various management structures
and Stakeholders
